Ken Follett, was able to recreate by writing the fascinating era of the Middle Ages, highlighting the lifestyle of the era and its many contradictions that we can see by following the stories, thoughts and aspirations of the protagonists who often have to fight against stronger powers, corruption, and many other obstacles in addition to disrupt their lives, rimmettono constantly questioning the construction of the cathedral in Kingsbridge, the pivot around which move the story of monks, nobles, artisans, fugitives .... Well what else to say, a book Highly recommended.
